Misson
The department has taken it upon itself to protect soil-water resources and the natural environment, improve the quality and sustainable use,increase the agricultural production,train agricultural engineers who love their nation and country,skilled at identifying and solving problem,have the information and equipment the age requires in order to solve the efficiency and productivity problems resulting from soil and produce information,transfer this into practice and spread it.
Vision
Department of soil has determined its vision as being a sub-program that members are proud to be a part of and graduated agricultural engineers with the required education and training program become good enough to be demanded people in contemporary working life generating information in national and international level and contributing to the solutions of soil science and plant nutrition problems in their region and international level with this knowledge.
Generally speaking,the foundation goal of all faculties of agriculture is to provide agricultural education and training and help improving modern agriculture technics.In that sense,department of soil has been established to ambidextrously search the concept of soil on scientific fundamentals which is an important element of agriculture, as well as educating engineers in soil science,protect the soil which is among the non-renewable assets,conduct scientific research in soil-plant-water systems in order to ensure agricultural production and evaluate results of this research scientifically.
